Oof. Huge kudos. Absolutely beautiful. Not sure why the pause at 2min

confettiluvsu responds:

I wanted it to be a lil intro for the piano but it didn't work out the best :/

Ahhhh man you had me with the bass line. That hook is f'kn great! Nice breakdown in the middle, but dude that progression is fantastic. Great to hear from you man! Sorry I've been vacant, I'll work on getting back into the swing of things musically.

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks so much for the review, SensoryDecay! Great to hear from you as well, and no worries about being absent. I've had a long hiatus or two myself over the years. :)

The first 4 I'll give you. The singing needs work man, but it's very good otherwise. I like the slow methodical melancholy sound.

TaintedLogic responds:

Absolutely yes, the singing here does need work. Maybe I'll re-record some of my old tracks if I get a chance sometime. Thanks as always for the review! ^_^

Alright here we go. This is very cool. I totally get your eruo influence and also the word talky lyrics are very talking heads meets lcd sound system meets Sego - not bad man. It's a little goofy though but you know that. I like it!

TaintedLogic responds:

Haha, thanks again, man! Goofy indeed. :)

This is a bit more spooky, I like it though. You're playing with atmosphere and I LIKE it

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks so much, SensoryDecay! Yeah, spooky is definitely what I was going for. :D

That was rude of Sequenced to say honestly. This isn't tried and true drum and bass, but it has that in it. Also it's really f-in good.

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks so much, SensoryDecay! So glad you liked it. ^_^

Yeah, 4.5 on this one, it's good, but it's just too basic. it sounds like it wants to be at a mall hotel lobby, but then breaks out and wants to be more. There's not a lot of anything going on. it's sporadic, which is fine! I dig the overall idea, but it's just not going past much more. The distorted grungy guitar and the piano play a very good play into this. It's just not got a path or anything going for it. It lacks feel I guess is the best way to put it.

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks for the honest criticism, man. Yeah, I'll try to find more of a distinct "direction" for my future tracks to take. :)

Well I can't 5 unless you make a collab with a song that hits truly home with my childhood and current state of mind. OH WAIT... YOU DID. The mix isn't great, it's more of the Mike Patton mix of Mr. Bungle, DYI, but it's pretty good. Ken Andrews would do wonders on this mix. It's still very very good. It takes a lot to mic everything and mix and master it to perfection. 5. fucking 5.

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks for the review, KC! Mixing is certainly a challenge when this many vocalists are in the texture, but in retrospect @MetalRenard did a great job. Instrumentals come through really clearly too, despite some sub-par recording quality on my end. :D

I love it. The organ piano just got a bit out of hand in the first part, specifically actually, relistening, the organ isn't a problem. it's a solo, I dig that. Actually, This is a 5. I really dig this. Man you really are dancing around that bass. You know I love that. I think this would be a great jam song. I hate the word jam, "let's have a jam maaaan" I hate that, but this is a great work that one could jam on. The bass holds it together, and the dance around with piano/organ just salts the meat, but I want moooore. I want more. Depth is what I want.

TaintedLogic responds:

Haha, thanks KC! I love your stream-of-consciousness reviews. I'll aim for more depth in my future tracks. :)

I think Daniel Day Lewis should be the AD. I'm not sure about this one. I love it, but it's clearly a protest song. I love that, but at the same time I'm kinda like...Okay? Sorry if that's insensitive.

TaintedLogic responds:

I'm not really sure what you mean by a "protest song." It's about a shipwrecked pirate in the 1700s. But thanks for the review!
